Murray Greig

Murray Greig studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under Howard Snell, gaining the PPRNCM Diploma with a Distinction and the Cecil Kidd Prize. After playing Principal Trumpet with the European Youth Orchestra he was appointed Sub-Principal Trumpet of the Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet. He has also worked with the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and most regional orchestras. Murray joined the Orchestra of Opera North as Principal Trumpet in 1989 and is also Senior Trumpet Tutor at the RNCM.
