Surrey, Richard

Richard Surrey was born in Hertfordshire in 1955 and started writing music at the age of eleven. After studying Philosophy at York University he then worked for music shops in London and York for some 20 years before devoting himself to full-time composition. The Sonata for Four Horns was written in 2015. He has composed many other works including pieces for orchestra, chamber works and solo piano pieces.
